ACG Air Cargo Germany has begun scheduled flights from Shanghai and Hong Kong to Germany after obtaining the required traffic rights from the Chinese civil aviation authority.
Shanghai will be served four times a week and Hong Kong three times from its base at Frankfurt-Hahn airport as a combination of charter and scheduled flights via Dubai, Almaty, or other destinations in Middle East or central Asia, depending on demand by shippers and agents.
"This mixed operational business model enhances our load factor and lowers our financial risks," said MD Thomas Homering.
ACG began operating charter flights on 28 July using two leased B747-400 special freighters, with tonnage steadily increasing to reach almost 8,000 tonnes in November.
"Business in December looks also pretty buoyant at this point, which will further enhance our load factor," said Homering. Source: ifw-net
