MCC Transport launches own Borneo service

MCC Transport, the Asian subsidiary of Maersk Line, is to launch its own East Malaysia and Brunei (Borneo Island) service, to provide a feeder service for the sister company. Using the chartered 797-TEU Majala, the service will connect the hubs of Singapore and Tanjung Pelepas to Kuching, Muara and Kota Kinabalu. It adds to MCC services connecting Malaysia and Singapore to Borneo offered through slots on the services offered by Singapore-based PIL and by Malaysian carriers MTT Shipping and PDZ Lines, according to Alphaliner.
