ZIM commences additional Mundra call

Zim Integrated Shipping Services recently announced the addition of a direct call at Mundra on its Asia Med Europe (AME) service. The first vessel is scheduled to call Mundra on November 26. Additionally, the service also calls at Nhava Sheva prior to the call at Mundra.
AME is an independent Zim service, with all the 11 x 3,300-TEU vessels deployed by Zim. The service will serve the following port rotation as from the said date: Xiamen, Shanghai, Shenzen (Da Chan Bay), Port Klang, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Suez Canal, Haifa, Ashdod, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Rotterdam (served via Antwerp), Hamburg, Limassol, Haifa, Ashdod, Suez Canal, Port Klang, Xiamen.
The AME service will offer an excellent opportunity for westbound exports from the Nhava Sheva and Mundra markets to East and West Mediterranean, the Adriatic and Black Sea areas via Haifa, which is the first port of call after the calls at India, and to direct North Continent, UK and Europe destinations.
Additionally, this service will cater to a galaxy of destinations in the US and Canada East Coast, Caribbean, Central and South American ports with transhipment at Haifa, on other dedicated Zim services. It will also offer direct routing for imports from China, Far East and South-East Asia markets to Nhava Sheva, North and West India ICDs and to Mundra.
The service will offer extremely competitive transits from Mundra-8 days to Haifa, 19 days to Felixstowe, 20 days to Antwerp, 21 to Rotterdam and 23 to Hamburg.
Zim has thus made available yet another superior service option for the ex-im trade in the North-West Indian hinterland, thereby strengthening its presence and coverage in the Indian market, according to Exim News Service.
