MOL cuts Vietnam-US east coast transit time by 5-7 days

Japanese container shipping company MOL says it has reduced transit times from Vietnam to the US east coast on its SVS service via the Suez Canal, according to Shipping Gazette.
Average transit times from Cai Mep, Vietnam to USEC have been cut by five to seven days, the fastest in the industry, the carrier said. The service calls at Norfolk, Savannah, Jacksonville and Charleston.
The SVS service is dedicated to moving cargo from major Asian ports to the US east coast via Suez.
The service offers direct connections from Vietnam, South China and Singapore to the USEC, including Jacksonville. Algeciras has been dropped from east and west bound services to cut transit times and raise on-time performance.
